3. What is the average blood sample volume that you collect? The Culex® system is capable of collecting 5uL to 1.75mL, depending on the species and vial type.

4. For large animal species, the most common Culex® system uses an experimental cage and a swivel. However, we offer a movement responsive caging system for minipig models. The movement responsive caging makes it possible to connect multiple fluid lines and/or electrical lines directly to a single animal and greatly increases the amount of data that can be collected from each animal. Select the option below that best describes your preference.

6. Taking a completely hands-off approach to running pharmacology studies can save time, reduce animal stress, and improve data accuracy. This is true for both sampling and dosing. The Empis Automated Dosing system is a software-controlled pump that integrates with the Culex® Automated Sampling system. This is most useful for infusion studies, multi-drug studies or studies that require low-stress animals.
I would like to incorporate automated infusion into my Culex® system.
I will dose through an implanted catheter using a separate pump or syringe.

8. BASi provides training so that you can get the best start with your new equipment. For large animal models, the training is focused on the instrument. However, we may also be able to help with surgical and animal handling training.
